Skin problems are among the primary reasons to bring a pet into the veterinarian. A general veterinarian can identify and treat a variety of common skin conditions. We also have a veterinarian who is board certified in canine and feline practice on staff to consult on more extreme cases.
No matter breed-type or size, any dog or cat can be susceptible to the risk dermatologic problems and may require the help of a specialist. These include skin problems associated with allergies, skin cancers, parasite infections, infectious diseases, systemic diseases, hormonal diseases, nail diseases and ear infections. As needed, we may refer to a board certified dermatologist.
